Join a free walking tour of North Campus and discover some of the features that make the University of Alberta a leader in campus sustainability and have earned the institution a STARS™ Silver rating.

Many of our tour stops look quite ordinary, but they have unique sustainability features below the surface.

All of the stops on the Campus Sustainability Tour are outdoors or open to the public. With this handy downloadable guide, you can now arrange a custom tour at your convenience. Learn about the unique sustainability features of the university's buildings and grounds, on your own and at any time.

Join a tour

Presented daily, beginning May 26, 2014 and continuing all summer long.

Tours take just under one hour. Please wear comfortable footwear. Pre-registration is required.


Walking tours are delivered collaboratively between the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Sustainability. All tours will be guided by UAlberta Ambassadors.
