George Kourounis

He has chased hurricanes and tornadoes and explored some of the most remote and ecologically sensitive places on Earth, like Antarctica and the Greenland ice cap. He frequently finds himself up close to the world’s most fearsome forces: vicious tornadoes, the eyes of hurricanes, and inside erupting volcanoes.

His international TV smash, Angry Planet, has put him on the front lines of climate change for years where he has witnessed firsthand the effects of our changing environment.

Come learn from George Kourounis' unique experience seeing the direct impacts of climate change around the world.

Images of Climate Change

What does climate change look like for people on the ground and in the front lines? Images of Climate Change tries to answer that question with a series of accessible presentations on climate change. This community event series is leading up to the Cities and Climate Change Science Conference in Edmonton from March 5-7, 2018.

Images of Climate Change is presented by the City of Edmonton, MacEwan University and the University of Alberta.
